for the past 9 hours or so, I've been too panicked to sleep. my left foot is pale, and most of it is numb. no insurance, not enough money to get into any urgent care places.

I can afford a trip to my normal doctor, just dont know if I can afford anything beyond that. they are, of course, closed today. I'm sure they do payment plans. I hope they do.

either way, thanks congress and retard conservatives, for being dicks about a public option for health care. if I lose my foot I'm mailing it to Glenn Beck.

Sounds like either a circulation problem, or a pinched nerve. Are you diabetic? Also, is it swollen, or just numb and pale?

I know this is going to sound inane, but try cracking your back and hips. Sometimes that works for me...sometimes one entire leg will go numb and pale, for like hours. It's usually after I've sat in the same position for a long time, and cracking my back sometimes helps a lot.

Ironically, some rest would also probably help a lot.

I usually sit on my floor to use computer, legs stuck in an odd position or tucked under my butt in other odd positions (for hours upon hours). was downstairs (in kitchen) when I noticed the problem, because cold kitchen floor didnt feel right on left foot. since then I have been using chair.

If you go into the emergency room and just like start screaming or collapse or something, they have to bring you to a certain level of not death even without insurance, I'd think.

As for the political implications of your message--

I'm for all health care reform. What I fail to understand is the entitlement mentality people have on this issue. Yes, health care costs have been bloated due to a variety of factors, but still, providing health care is a costly endeavour. Why should you get out of paying for it? You pay for housing, food, gas, clothing, etc. and don't ***** about that.
