Im talking about more modern stuff. Even Twilight went out with like only 2.9 million on a first run. Suck it down Twilight.

Theres lots of old books that number in the hundreds of millions sold, but even they started out a much smaller first printing, probably in the 1000's or hundred thousands.

It's interesting to note that in One Piece the female character's breasts get larger as the chapter continues and then reset to "default" size in the next chapter. Repeat over and over.

Oda originally planned One Piece to last five years, and he had already planned out the ending, but he found himself enjoying the story too much to end it in that amount of time and now has no idea how long it will take to reach that point. Nevertheless, the author states, as of July 2007, that the ending will still be the one he had decided on from the beginning and he is committed to seeing it through to the end, no matter how many years it takes.

Hence Mora's zinger.

I tried watching One Piece and just did not get the appeal.

Read the manga instead. While the anime has waaaay less filler than most other manga based shows, it can kinda drag on a bit sometimes. Its filler stories are usually pretty good though. The manga lets you breeze right through most things, and appreciate the art, while HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME happens near the ends of every story arc.

Yeah but repeat but with interesting new characters every 5 chapters. But anyway some major **** has been going down in the last few chapters. Like holy crap.

But isn't it essentially filler if the author keeps adding on to the story, but it isn't in danger of changing the ending he already has in mind?
