    Lunar PSP

I got my copy today! I now have 3 different versions of the game.

Pretty neat little collectors edition. Not quite as good as the PS1 version with its book like manual and cloth map, but not bad either.

I don't think they can top Lunar 2's necklace.

      Re: Lunar PSP

Battles seem way easier so far than any other version. Maps also seem significantly smaller!

I really hate the new voices.
It's not that they're awful or anything, it's just it doesn't feel much like the same Lunar I know and love. For a game that is selling almost entirely on nostalgia it seems a little lacking, I guess.

Now you know how fans raised on the Sega CD version felt when they played the PS1 version!

But yeah, how could you replace this:

I never liked the Sega CD intro. the PS1's is great. hell, the whole presentation of the PS1 version makes it feel more "special" than any other game I've ever played.

I cant stand the PSP version's voices. Nall sounds awful, and Luna sounds wrong in every way she possibly could. Like they really paid no attention to the character when casting her. the only way the new voice could fit her less is if she was voiced by a trumpet. hate the new opening song too. the PS1 version is the best to me. shame I don't have it anymore.

I considered getting the PSP version until I played the demo. too much is just wrong. it doesnt feel right, it doesnt sound right. I need to track down the PS1 version again.

Sega CDs intro is great in its campiness. FIGHTAN! IN THE DARKNESS! ARE THIS EVIL! SO WE MUST PRESS ON!

I don't understand why they keep trying to reboot the series. Just move on already.

I so far don't like the opening. I mean it not only gives away a ton of the plottwists, but throws out names of people that new players wouldn't know of.

I agree with the voices. Pretty annoying.

And yes, the battles do seem much more easy for some reason.

Very colorful game though. The PS1 version is still my favorite so far.

I do agree with the intro. What the flying ****? That information shouldn't be given that soon. It kind of ruins the impact of when you actually meet these people. Also, I never got past the Fire Dragon in the PS1 version so for all I know that was quite a spoiler. Though, I am thrilled with the updated graphics. About damn time. As for the voices, I found the voices from the PS1 version to be annoying anyway so it doesn't bother me. Hopefully, I will actually finish this version.

What's wrong with the opening now? You guys talking about the redubbed opening song or the game itself?

I'm talking about the opening song when I say the new opening sucks.

I'm referring to Jamos whose talking about the characters. The intro for Harmony uses the same animation so new lyrics aside it's exactly the same. The Sega CD intro actually reveals who the badguy is in the lyrics.
