    NINTENDO STADIUM EVENTS - $40,000

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=140384097750=

Goddamn. Its freaking CRAZY. Its kinda weird though that like the last 20 bids are all from the same person needlessly raising the cost.

    I also love this part.

Not only is this a NTSC version - it is factory sealed, the box alone (opened) is estimated at approximately $10,000.

I wonder if it's insured for $40k as well.

Are you sure you had the NTSC, Bandai released Stadium Events or the Nintendo licensed rerelease? I say this because the Bandai print was recalled and reportedly only 1 store in America carried it (and 10 copies at that). The PAL version isn't worth the plastic the cartridge was printed on.

People have been tracking this game for years. Only 10 copies are known to exist at all, this one which was sold is one of two existing copies still sealed, and it's the best preserved version sold.

It means the person before him laid down a massive proxy bid. It's the way to win eBay auctions instead of waiting for the last 30 seconds to come. You won't beat a proxy bidder who knows what he's doing.

yeah, the one that sold for a ton of money the other week was the Pal version (can tell by the blocking of the letters on the cart). not exactly worthless with what it brought in, thanks to un-informed buyers.

its bizarre that someone would pay that amount of money for that. regardless of how rare it is!
