    Hello? Ps3 people?

I am fully aware that this has been posted a mind-boggling amount of times but....I'm thinking about buying a ps3.

I know, I know. "162, please! You can't seriously be posting question you freaky little hippie!"

I just want to get some personal responses. Is it a decent system? How prone is it to malfunctions? Does it still need memory cards? Is there any difference between the older and slimmer models?

I just want to make sure this is a good system.

Well I can tell you this. I haven't had any problems out of mine malfunctioning. Had it for over a year now.

      - I've enjoyed it so far.
      - Probably not something you need to worry about, not as bad as the early PS2s.
      - All units have a built in HD, so no.
      - Some of the older units have built in PS2/PS1 emulation(either hardware or software) The newer models and Slim versions have no backwards compatibility, Other differences are variation in HD sizes, and I believe the Slim has less USB ports but I'm not sure.

The slim has 2 USB ports, but has PSX backwards compatibility.

        Don't copy that floppy!

All you need to know is if you like the games.

It's a great system. I would still have mine if it hadn't been stolen. Keep it away from junkies, and you'll have no problems.

I keep holding out hoping they'll release on that can play PS2 games, or release a download or some crap that lets people play them.

Id love to get one of those older PS3 models that can, but they are hard as hell to find now.
