I like the game a lot, but I end up getting mad and taking long breaks from it because of the damn flute thing.

it's color coded. and the things you learn the songs from let out colored orbs that tell you what notes to play.

faqs are not helping. they're written for people who can see color correctly, so they don't even mention this, as its not some mystery normal people need to decode.

I need to learn the song of light. trial and error is not working, and I'm the only one home right now, so I have no one to ask.

taken from faqs, the colors are:

Purple, Yellow, Orange, Turquoise, Silver.

The colors in that image, from Left to Right are:
Green, Silver, Turquoise, Orange, Yellow, Purple

So for your song, it looks like you need to start at the far Right and play each note going Left in order.

Why not go to GameFAQs and ask one of the people there to make a FAQs for colorblind people. There's gotta be a demand.

I was also going to mention that the shorter pipes would naturally make a higher pitch, so you should be able to match the position of the note with the length of the pipe. So the longest pipe's note would be on the bottom line of the music staff, the next one would be just above the bottom line, etc. and the shortest pipe corresponds to the note just above the top line of the staff.

This should make it possible for color-blind people to play the flute, too.
Or is there other color stuff in addition to the flute?

Color blind people would make interesting artists, IMO.
