Lets play the 'diagnose Jehuty's computer' game.

Yeah. My computer has seen better days, I updated several online games today, and they promptly crashed.

Now i get screen artifacts, slowdown and flcikering on my monitor. I managed to reinstall my video drivers, but the flickering persists as well as this:

System restore and driver rollbacks haven't solved it. The symptoms come and go, regardless of activity.

Any ideas on what foul beast has possessed my baby?

    And I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't
So here's to drinks in the dark at the end of my road
And I'm ready to suffer and I'm ready to hope

Blarg. Thats what i was afraid of, Video Card is the 'newest' part of the machine too. I had a friend design a new computer if is, I'm not going to blow 300 dollars on a new video card on an outdated mother board.

yeah, it unfortunately reminds me of the way my laptop looked before it did nothing but this, which you can see a bit of a preview of in the safe mode screenshot there.

Yup, definitely video card issue, but one thing you should check out though. Make sure nothing is keeping the fan on your video card from turning, that happened to my roommate and he got the artifacting, but once he removed the wire that was keeping the fan from moving, everything was fine.

Download a program like fanspeed that lets you see the temperatures inside your computer from Windows. Make sure the VC isn't overheating.

Sent it to a proffesional repair guy, said the Video card was fried in someway.

Stuck a ASUS 4650 in it for now. Its a huge downgrade sadly

Edit: And now its overheating for the first time ever... After I took it for repairs.
