I think Fox should combine all their prime-time dramas into one super show.

With Bauer, Bones, Angel, House, Tim Roth, Dollhouse & the Human Target coming together to teach little Jimmy that drugs isn't the way to go?

If this were the '80's we would have 24 the cartoon by now. I mean they turned Robocop into a cartoon.

BTW, Bubba from Forest Gump is head of CTU NY.

I really liked the ending of the fourth episode. Even Jack was shocked!

Isn't 24 just crusty and formulaic now?

I still dig the asian guys in business suits going "Mista Bowa yooou mus get da bomb!"

Actually that's probably the only snippet of the show I ever watched.

Yeah, and as long as Kiefer is finding new and inventive ways to kill people, I'll watch. My fave last year was tossing a screwdriver into someone's chest and pounding it through w/ a 2 x 4...then pulling out the screwdriver and using it to hotwire a car.

Plus I love that CTU pulls their talent from ex-child stars. First Ricky Schroeder, now Freddie Prinze Jr...I demand Carlton on the team.

                          Season 1>Season 5>Season 3>Season 2>Season 4.

Not sure about anything after that. I watched the 4 hour premiere of Season 6 and never watched the rest of it. Bought Season 6 on DVD the day it came out, and have yet to watch it. Never watched it since.

All I know about last season was something about some African terrorist or something, and all I know about this season (catching like 10 seconds in passing) is that Jack Bauer is a grandfather now.

Season 3 was the peak of the series and after that it was all downhill because they kept dipping into the same well over and over.

I'm gonna disgree slightly. Season 4 was horrible, horrible, horrible. As bad as seasons 6, 7, or 8 might have been/might be, nothing can compare to how putrid Season 4 was. So yeah. I agree with you there.

However, Season 5 was surprisingly good. And by good, I mean, really, really good. It's hard, but I give it the very slight nod over Season 3. I think after the trainwreck clusterf*** that was Season 4, the producers knew they had to do something different instead of rehashing the same crap over and over again. And they succeeded admirably. However, as I've not seen anything after, I might be off base on this, but it seems as if the next three seasons tried/are trying too hard to recapture what made Season 5 great, but are doing a pretty mediocre job.
