Though I really wonder why they'd put SC on the DS in the first place.... Rather unusual, isn't it?

I read an EGM article about why that game was cancelled. It was something along the lines of RE1 supposed to be scary, and that there was nothing scary about a pixellated zombie. Didn't really look that great, either. Though of the characters were supposed to be 3D, it might've been more interesting to see in action.

You really have to wonder why they tried doing that, too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Resident Evil game for the DS or the PSP for that matter. Those portables certainly have enough power to do it, I'd say.

Of course, the DS version would make full use of the dual screen and the stylus. It would beat having to press the START button to check your inventory--all you'd have to do is look at the lower screen and use your stylus to do stuff. That's how most DS games like to function nowadays.

I thought about the original RE2 but it's so wonderful and perfect as it is, a remake would lose its charm. Imagine if they replaced the voice acting and/or script??

So they should totally redo RE3 or C:V. Or do, like, an original thing.

That said, I doubt anything will come out of this and this ResEvil DS thing is just a rumor.

I felt the same way about the first one, but I love the REmake, too.
