    When using a sharkport...

Do you have to have the playstation hooked up to a T.V.?

My computer is ono the first story of my house and my playstation is on the second story.

no, you dont have to. although it is much easier if you do. just listen for when the disk is spinning and such, and you should be able to use it without a TV.

or you could get a max drive, its just something you plug into your PS2's USB port, unplug, walk over to your computer, and plug into that, or the other way around. no cords, just a little silver thing you plug and unplug.

The Sharkport will randomly corrupt data. Make sure you have an exact duplicate back-up file of your game on another card before using it!!!

With that being said, I suggest that you trade that Sharkport in and try and get a Max Drive or X-Port.

I've only had my Max Drive a few weeks and it's corrupted a couple files on me. And I followed all the tips on the tutorial here. It's just a hazard of file transfer in general. You have to be careful no matter what device you use.
