dead pixel help needed!!!!!!!!!

hey guys and gals!

My roomie just bought a brand new laptop and it has a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. Anyone know of a way to remove, or refresh the screen to rid himself of this evil?

Ive heard of people saying that letting your screen saver run for a few hours can sometimes fix that.

But that might only fix "stuck" pixels, wich still work, but are stuck on a certain color.

You might not even be able to fix a dead one, wich doesnt work at all.

really depends on the warrantee. the Samsung LCD monitor I bought from Newegg I think only could be replaced if there were more than a few pixels dead. luckily, mine had none.

If it's black, it's dead, man!

If it ain't, its only stuck, and itll eventually get rid of itself. There are ways of speeding up the process which you can probably find on google.

If it's from Dell or Gateway or one of them companies, he can send it back within 14 days for full refund and shiznit. They should fix the dead pixels. The thing went through a testing phase and they let one with a dead pixel go? Unacceptable. Complain complain.
