What sayings do you want to go away?

Someone on the radio today was talking about how the phrase "Tell me what you really think?" after someone vehemently complains about something should be abolished from everyone's lexicons, and I agreed with this.

What other phrases should be removed from our consciousness?

    "Jumping on/off the bandwagon"

For one thing, when one uses the phrase in reference to other people, it's juvenile and reeks of perceived self-superiority.

Also, when was the last time anyone even saw an actual bandwagon? Do they even make those things anymore?

"begs the question" doesn't make sense and it's dumb.
Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.

"Begs the question" does make sense, it's just a dated phrase.

"Jumping on/off the bandwagon" is a phrase I use now only as an ironic statement. I think it works well in this regard.

"Per se" because no one knows how the **** to use it and they only keep saying it because it makes them sound smart to other dumb people.

Anything with 'green' in the title. ie "We're going green!" "This is a green company."

Off the chain/hook/etc. Seldom used anymore but still sometimes. It never made any sense.

Any addition of -izzle or the letter Z to words.

IMHO. Only the ones who aren't at all humble about their opinion use it.

Yeah, any 4chan lexicon does it for me.

And I got a "Tell me what you really think" after I went on a huge rant about the band Cake during Left 4 Dead 2 and it made me laugh so I like that one :3
