I hear that Torchlight game is good. What y'all say?
And holy ****, Activision games aren't on sale what a surprise :VVVVVV
Torchlight's good, but that doesn't mean it moves beyond the Diablo Hamster Wheel gameplay model. I really enjoyed it for about 20 hours, then dropped it for Dragon Age. so, up to you if that style of game really appeals to you
Torchlight is good but way to easy even on hard mode. If you even casually beat Diablo you probably won't be satisfied unless you play on very hard. The modding community is pretty large, though, so there's lots of good fixes readily available.
STALKER is also great but be prepared for a tough game because it plays pretty much the opposite of every FPS game on the market. It's more survival horror than survival action and enemies on everything but easy mode will quickly out-flank and out-gun you.
But man, Evil Genius, Medieval II, World of Goo, King's Quest, Space Quest, Braid, Rome: Total War, Lucasarts Adventure Pack, Oddworld Pack, The Witcher, Chronicles of Riddick, ArmA, and Desperados 2 are all great games for the cost of a sandwich.
I probably have no excuse not to pick up Majesty 2 and Tropico 3 now.
I'm thinking of picking up Atari's 80 games collection, the Lucasarts Adventure Collection, and maybe something else. Either way this is an awesome sale. I love you Steam, don't ever change... or I'll kill you.
Accept me as a friend, ******. Then I'll give you free game.
What's the consensus on The Witcher, anyways?
It's a good game but the combat mechanics make it too easy on normal mode and too difficult on hard mode. There are some rough spots like repetitive combat especially in the longass 2nd chapter but the story gets really good and it's one of the few games with a truly amorous plot and alignment system.
There is no good or evil. The choices you make either benefit Asshole A, Asshole B, or yourself in which case you're the asshole. My friend who's used to playing the morally just guy in every game simply couldn't finish it because you have to **** people off and the results of your choices aren't apparent until the next few chapters.
The three endings are satisfying but each of them are the most depressing thing in the world. The plot twist at the end is also pretty great once you realize every single dialog choice you made influences the opinions of a specific character.
They always have this usually it's the day after christmas though.
I was really hoping they would shave off more than 6 bucks on "King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame" as it looked interesting but not worth 34 bucks.
