So I'm getting one for christmas, I really want FFT and a lot of the psOne classics off of PSN.

What other things are good on PSP?

Uh, I don't think I'd be very inclined to play like giant disgiea like games.

- FFT: War of the Lions is a must~
- Dracula X Chronicles if you want oldschool rage-inducing Castlevania with SotN tucked in somewhere
- Lumines is a required puzzler
- Space Invaders Extreme a required shooter
- Monster Hunter Freedom Unite if you want rage-inducing ... rage
- Prinny if you want oldschool rage-inducing Ghosts 'n Goblins platformin'
- Mega Man Powered Up is a mixed-bag but if you love Mega Man (you don't, do you?) it's worth having
- Dissidia is a surprisingly enjoyable action/RPG that just might reignite your love for FF
- Silent Hill: Origins if you're curious. It's really not that special, but hey, you can bash enemies with TVs

Not at all. RE2 is a ****in' blaaaaaast on the go. Silent Hill, though? I dunno... I don't think it's aged as well.

Cave Story is also available on PSP. That is also required.

If you move over to the dark side of the PSP, It miiiight be easier to do with a 2000. From what I've gathered (and granted, it was awhile ago) the 3000 had a new motherboard that was a little harder to work with.

The PSP is an awesome little system, and no one should be ashamed of wanting one, even if it is for PSOne games too.

Although i would recommend FFT: War of the Lions over the original PSOne version.

Eh, after MGS4 I kinda never want to touch another MGS game (though I have had a bizarre hankering for Metal Gear Online).

If you like brain-teasing, puzzly stuff Crush is pretty good too. Also, Persona 3
on the fly if you haven't gotten your fill elsewhere.

On the other end of the thematic spectrum is Popolocrois. Simple and charming RPG, easy to pick up or put down as your time dictates.
