    Alice in Wonderland

    New trailer.

Looks great... but do they really have to change the story for the sake of setting up another LotR-ish battle?
    ...and that's why.

I was under the assumption it was like the Hook movie was to Peter Pan, sorta.

The story seems to be pretty drastically changed. But that's okay. Tim can handle it.

Hmm, I'm not sure what to think.

I can't picture Alice leading an army.

          Buuuuut, it's got Johnny Depp!

Although, I didn't like the new Wonka movie.

Buuuuuut, Depp was awesome in Public Enemies and just about every other film he's done!

          My brain hurts.

Y'know, I think Depp would make a great male Final Fantasy villian.

                Re: Alice in Wonderland

I don't think so. I think it's still Alice in Wonderland, only she shows up to find that everyone knows her and thinks she's the previous ruler. Kinda like Lion Witch and Wardrobe.

I would think it's a sequel, but just to the disney version.

I just saw the Syfy Alice miniseries. That was pretty lame. Not as crappy as Tin Man though.

Did everyone forget how crappy Sleepy Hollow was or something?

Yeah, Tim Burton is the master of adaptations. Why, just look at Planet of the Apes. And Sleepy Hollow. And Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This looks like the most unnecessary thing ever.

Tin Man was great. I love movies that look at a tired story from another angle. Like Beowulf. The movie itself wasn't great in that case, but the different take they had was very interesting. The 13th Warrior is a better example.

I'm looking forward to a Looking Glass Wars movie.

The idea of Tin Man was good but I wasn't happy with the execution. IMO The Wiz is the best adapatation of Oz.

Eh, looks even worse than I gathered from the first trailer.
