Yep. It finally did yesterday what it was supposed to do over a year ago. While these preliminary collisions have been accomplished and outclassed elsewhere, it's just nice to see that after more than a year, the LHC is finally up and running. Soooooooon we'll see what kind of crazy **** they make happen when they start colliding protons together faster than they've ever been collided before!
I'm banking on a rip in the fabric of space and time, resulting in pocket dimensions. =D
