It was okay. That one puzzle was dumb though. Where you have to make a stack of your shadows to jump on your head to cross the forcefield. I got tired of trying to get it just right so I said to hell with it.

I played it until it got to the part where you have to keep jumping on top of yourself to get over the platforms and it just seemed too self-satisfied in its "intellectualism" and I wasn't having much of a reaction besides annoyance. It's like this designer took all the wrong lessons from Braid.

The idea of using unlimited multiples of yourself wasn't taken far enough! He could've made puzzles involving gregarious amounts of piles of yourselves to reach places and flick switches and all that. It feels more like a demo to me and leaves me craving more.

And the writing is just too sloppy and fanfic-ish. I like the whole partner-flashback scenario and the way that story is told, but I disregarded the text on the screen largely because it repeated what was already apparent. If the idea was to force the players to experiment with new mechanics, why bother adding the text, "I SAW THE FLOWER AND SUDDENLY IT POPPED IN MY HEAD, "CHECKPOINT".



And the ending? Cliche.

i dunno all this type of criticism is rubbing me the wrong way right now, even though i didn't make the game

i'm imagining making a game like this and some internet people reviewing it like that and thinking "well **** you guys, what have you done"

it's like people who would go out of their way to point out that a particular ffx comic you made was not funny and having some annoying reasons why

I got stuck on the giant T map with abottomless pit, after the flashback

Edit: Just beat it. Liked the ending, i think ya'll are just killjoys.

it's hard not to see the fault in something when you've seen games like it 20 times before. Newgrounds is plagued with these platformer flashes.

As far as my comic goes, I'm immune to criticism because I just don't care about the comic enough. It's my for 'fun' thing. Whether or not some guy feels it necessary to express his negative opinion is of no consequence to me, and I'm sure that's how this game creator feels.

However I did give him constructive criticism! I pointed out specific faults and gave alternatives.

And besides. You compared this to Braid. You left everyone open for disappointment.

**** that level where you had to build a staircase with your previous selves. The level design compared to Braid leaves a lot to be desired.

I got stuck at the part with the four levers.

The 'help me' pages are pretty vague for hints.
