Has anybody besides me played Retro Game Challenge? If so, you should know about Gaudia Quest, the Dragon Quest- inspired game. Looking at the game got me wondering whether it would be possible to remake the game on an RPGM title. What do you guys think?

While I can't say I've ever played Gaudia Quest (or even heard of it), I will say that most attempted remakes on RPG Maker have not gone over very well. More often than not, you're better creating a sequel/side-story/reboot geared towards the RPGM's capabilities rather than go with the "oh well, close enough" mantra that actual remakes would be restricted to."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. I'm gonna agree with Draygone here; it's usually better to go for a spiritual homage to a game than to try to replicate it.
