I've had it on pre-order for a long time (and the X volume).

today, I get two e-mails from amazon.

one stating it's delayed (again) until December 17th.

and then another one saying it's delayed until December 4th.

two delays, same day, odd order.

does anyone happen to know what the **** is going on with this goddamn book?

yeah. it's the second of the "complete works" books (the first was for the zero series, and was already released).

the classic series and x series books are english versions of the R20 book (content is just divided up) that came out in japan for Rockman's 20th anniversary. it's a collection of pretty much every piece of art and information to come out of capcom for the series.

RPGDork owns R20, and could explain the content much better.

these are out wednesday in comic shops, but for 40 each.

amazon has them for 26 each, when they finally get them.

Yeah, R20 is a bigass book with every piece of official art from pretty much every game in the classic and X series, plus lots of early concept art and developer/character designer comments. Even if you can't understand Japanese it's a rocking volume.

The English versions appear to be identical to R20 in format and content based on scans I've seen. I highly recommend anyone even mildly interested in the classic or X series to pick up the books.
