Just finished watching Eragon.

And on Blu-ray for the second time. What'd you think of this movie? My first time watching it I thought the movie was kinda "meh", and I still do somewhat, but my opinion has changed on my second viewing to "It was a decent movie."

If anything, Jeremy Irons is the highlight of the movie, easily giving the best performance in the film. Actually, without him as one of the lead roles, this would be a throw-away movie (though at best it's still nothing more than a "rent it" movie).

This movie ruined my sister's hopes and dreams. I personally saw the disapointment in her face when we left the theater. She was an avid Eragon reader up until that point. No more.

If she liked the books why would the movie have changed that? It's not like the movie being lame makes the books lame (-er than they already were).

I read the books, once upon a time. They were a bit overambitious and his form needed some improvement, but he's gotten better as they go on. The story is still terribly cliched, but some of the little things are very cool and original.

The movie sucked. For reel.

I hope somebody gets that.
