I'll never understand how 2012 got interpreted as the end of the world. 2012 was just the end of the mayan calendar cycle. the world doesnt end when the calendars we have now end. the mayan's had a cycle before the "current" mayan calendar (just as we had a calendar last year), and you can be sure they'd be making a new cycle if they were still around.
