The fighting system and the sprites look amazing but I wonder how much scenario data this chews up. Anyways, I thought this was pretty impressive. But as this looks like the Japanese version, how was he able to put "Out of the Ring" in English?

there's english text options in the japanese versions of RPGM software, since english is popular over there. you can see english used in my RPG Tsukuru 4 articles.

I'm still wondering how this person got the fighting system to work. I can see doing the animations and incorperating that into the scenario data, at least, I can picture it vaguely. But getting the fighters to "check themselves" as far as how much health they have left, etc., for some reason, I can't seem to grasp right now. I was blown away by this when I saw it in action. Hmm, and somewhat relative to CBS's, didn't somebody write a formula for a Tactical RPG CBS like six or seven years ago? I thought of that after watching this thing.

Likely they know to die they're technically already out of "health" the last time they're triggered.

I was inspired by take's video to create my own tekken game and I was successful with a 5 tier battle system of my own. It only cost 10k scenario which is my max for mini games. It could be easily expanded to a full game with great success. All you need is to break down the game into switches and conditions and build it using an offscreen control panel. The game is a bit rough but down load crystal shores and check out the second scenario card (Its open source). Swing down to the dojo dungeons and you will see how it can be made.

The secret to making any mini game is to break it down and figure out how to do each part and then combine them.

Is there anything RPGM1 can't do?

I myself was wondering is a SRPG is possible with RPGM2 when I was looking through the manual. I haven't even used the software and I'm getting grandiose ideas from it.

I think I remember Intro or someone who spent a lot of time in Tips and Tricks back then made one for RPGM1. Though, it chewed through scenario memory like nobody's business. Or at least, that's what I understood from whoever posted the system. Intro would be me shot in the dark considering he was the most consistent contributor in that part of the Pavilion. Again, this was years ago, and I could be wrong.

Great, but it'd be an inconvenience. Why, it's not even that great. Sure, it's cool that someone almost made a fighting game, but, still, RPGM has its limits unless if one plans on using the PC ones.(of which have limits themselves, I'm sure...)
