I've tried some rather inventive contest ideas, and the entry numbers have been dropping steadily. for this last contest, it finally hit 1 entry. even though the contest started in either April or May, I can't remember exactly. people had 6 months to work on their games, I was asked by several members to do an extension, and none of those members turned anything in (which i don't hold against them, especially Duel, he had more far important stuff going on). We don't have good turnouts anymore unless it's a "garbage contest", and while people really enjoy making those games, I hate them because since they get such high turnouts, it seems to some people like it's all we do.

Unless I think of a really good idea, I don't see any new contests happening until we get some new software.

But that decision isnt exactly in my hands. I decided against getting rid of the "Advisor" staff position after being pressured to keep it, so the Advisors are still here, and they still have a forum. They could start a contest any time they wanted to.

Yeah, if I ever enter a contest again, this is what it will be for. It's got the same benefits as the garbage contest (little time investment) but without the all the garbage.

I'll be hosting a video game related art contest soon. It will not be related to RPG Maker. However, these things usually have better turnout since the whole community can participate.
