The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, The Motion of Picture

I'm fine with them casting Gyllllenhaaaalllll and think complaints that they didn't cast someone Persian looking to be kinda stupid. But what's with the British accents?

So they can sell the Prince to Jack Sparrow fans.

I'm actually totally okay with this!

I'll go see it, cause I loved Sands of Time, and I loved the first (and possibly second) Pirates of the Caribbean, and the two could well mesh if done correctly.

The same reason any Hollywood movie set abroad has British accents.

Because you can get away with saying anything so long as it's in a British accent!

My goodness. That trailer didn't suck! They should've casted ME as the prince! For some reason people say I look like Jake Gyllenhal.

I guess, after Pirate's success, this is to be expected.

The question to me is whether the formula of a Pirates movie will translate well into the Sands of Time. And really, that would mostly be about the chemistry of the Prince and Farah, which made Sands of Time a joy to experience. The Prince of Persia series didn't even surpass that chemistry for like four more games with its latest iteration.

I guess the lead female isn't named Farah in the movie, so the chemistry between the Prince and whatshertits.

                              Princess Tamina. I think.

                              EDIT: Checked. Yep, it's Tamina.
