To participate, log out (make sure you remember your password) and register a new account, which will be your costume account. add avatars, sigs, whatever. use a service like imageshack.us for image-hosting needs during this so people cant guess your identity from the image URL.
You can create multiple costume accounts.
During registration, you're going to encounter an anti-bot test, called "The Bird Test". There's a profile field that says "honk". default value is "beep". change it to "bird" (this is mentioned in the TOS), and your account will be approved.
There's also a field asking if the account is a costume account. pay attention to that. default value is "NO". change it to "SWAN". another anti-bot thing. they're smart enough to change NO to YES. if you don't do this, you will cause much inconvenience and headache for me later. and I will dock 100 rep points from you because you failed to follow a simple direction. actually, I wont do this. thats just petty and stupid.
Registration won't be instant, we get too many bots trying to register to do that. but your costume account should be activated fairly quickly. I would hope the other admins would help activate accounts as well.

Costume Accounts are only allowed to post in the General Discussion area. Free forum, Video game forum, and Imaginari.
Costume Accounts will be active until the afternoon of November 1st. They will all be deleted at that time, and the topics started by costume accounts will be moved to the greatest hits forum.
