Tekken always seems to be the game it's cool to hate despite constantly getting high reviews.

I've only played Tekken Tag Tournament. My favorite character is Hwaoraoroaoaowang.

I feel the same way. I couldn't get into it. Might be that the incremental changes finally added up enough where I felt like I'd already played it to death. I like the environmental destruction angle, but I've been wishing for it since Tekken 3, so it's kind of late to the party. Also, my experience has been that whatever good ideas they've had/borrowed, they've never taken them far enough to be great.

I picked this up today on a whim at Best Buy for the buy 2, get one free sale. Didn't even know it was out, and really have not paid attention to it, but they had a bundle with a wireless Hori arcade stick for $150. I've been wanting one since I got BlazBlue, but didn't want to spend $80-$150 importing it.


Ended up dropping $200 for DJ Hero as well, and got Uncharted 2 for free.

Bought it today. Same old gameplay I love.

But wow, I think this game has the smoothest animation I have ever seen for a 3D fighter. Even Eddy was a treat just to watch, even when I was losing.

Scenario mode sucks. But it seems like a good source to earn currency.

Story is horrible so far.

Targeting is awful, especially when surrounded.

Cutscenes are poorly done.

You're forced to play as a new character at first, but can unlock others along the way.

You must play this mode for a bit to get any intro/ending for each character which plays like arcade mode in the arena (they should have just had intros and endings for arcade instead).

Voice acting is terrible.

Ya know, thank god the online trophies/achievements are so easy to get, because the lag is ****ing horrible.

All you gotta do is win ONE ranked match, and one player match, and PLAY 30 online. That's it.

The rest are so easy to get. You screw around in other modes a bit, and mainly play the scenario mode. There's no huge "Win 100 battles ranked online", "Play 500 matches online", "Get 10 wins in a row online" bs.

Honestly, those of you who like unlocking trophies/achievements but hate dealing with online, Tekken 6 is easy for anyone.

Yes, I absolutely love Tekken for this reason.

And yeah, the single player adventure is really dumb and boring.

Home rewards so far are dumb. Just t-shirts. Apparently there's also Kazuya's gloves, but I do like the Tekken 6 arcade machine.
