Although..... how does this site classify them as "inspiring"?

Here it literally just means "these pumpkins are so cool and creative that they should inspire you to try and create pumpkin carvings that are unique and fun but challenging." Kind of how artists draw inspiration from many sources when they create.

It's a bit misleading if you come to think of "inspirational" to mean the Hollywood term, in which the term has a broader meaning of greater aspiration of self through insurmountable conflict and eventual rising above of the people onscreen.
