If I talk to someone that I don't know all that well, ask them how they're doing and they reply, "bored," I'm going to assume that person has no job, no schooling going on and has a severe lack of ambition. Why? Moreso in the history of mankind, in this golden age of the internets, there is no reason to be bored. Maybe I'm just lucky, or a dick (probably both), but I always have something to do, voluntary or otherwise. When someone tells me they're bored, and they're stuck in that situation, that's fine, I understand that...but when you're free with no responsibilities and you're bored, it just burns my ass hairs.
Sorry if anyone takes offense to this, it's just one of those things I see too often. Maybe I'm just lucky to have a bit of creativity or intellectual curiosity, or maybe I'm secretly jealous to even be close to being in that kind of non-consequential position. Whatever, no matter how much I try to reason with myself, bored people will always **** me off.
