On Tuesday, my friends and I were going to do all-you-can-eat shrimp at Red Lobster. I stand up and say, "all right, let's get goin, Aushrimpz!" and my friends laughed but looked at me wide eyed. Apparently an elderly Asian couple was looking at me w/ horrified looks on their faces. Oops.

Ever say something insensitive and potentially offensive when you didn't know offended company was around?

I DON'T UNDERSTAND EITHER, BUT HERE'S ONE THAT EVERYONE CAN GET.

I was waiting in line with my friends once, and I noticed that this big mean-looking guy in front of us was wearing massive high heels, about six inches tall. I thought this was moderately funny. So I nudged my friends and pointed.

Nobody else thought it was funny, though. In fact, they kind of seemed disgusted.

When I looked at the guy again, I realized that only one leg actually had a high heel --- the one that was six inches shorter than the other.

Some frumpy old man got in my face for swearing while I was talking with my friend at the store. I wasn't talking to this guy at all. I wasn't even aware that anyone else was in earshot.

I refused to apologize, and told him to mind his own business. He raised a huge stink until the manager told him the same thing. He also told the guy to stop bothering us. The guy finally left, ranting the whole way out.

Maybe I should've prefaced that I mentioned that red lobster seems to usher in a shrimp holocaust every time they do the endless shrimp deal. Auschwitz, Aushrimps...nevermind.

I'm just wagering a guess here but it could be because 70 years ago America aggressively rounded up a bunch of Japanese people and shoved them in barbed wire enclosed internment camp.

Since Kire mentioned they were "elderly" I'm just making an assumption.
