Do your parents play games?

inspired by the first video game topic.

To the best of my knowledge, my parents started playing games when we got our NES bundled with super mario bros / duck hunt. my mom swore at the game a lot. she quit video games as of mario 3, but my dad still plays them and really wants carmageddon to come back. he also damn near punched my TV trying out wii sports boxing for the first time. he also likes burnout (games need cars for him to like them). to this day, me and my sister arent able to beat any of his record times in Super Mario Kart.

My mom a while ago bought some gaming device that has a collection of old games, Atari 2600 Intellivision style. She mainly plays this pinball game I know nothing about.

She's not really a gamer, but she also loves to play Columns on the Gamegear my brother still has.

My dad also tried to play Duke Nukem 3D when that first came out, but with a 3D game like that, it literally gave him headaches so he doesn't bother with games.

My ex's mother played FO3 and Oblivion relgiously. My Dad plays Wii golf when his arthritis flares up.

My mom plays casual games on the PC, and I got her hooked on the Layton a few months back. That's it, really.

My Mom plays RPG and Puzzle games mainly.

She loves Dragon Quest and Bust-a-Move.

She also played FF7 so much that she actually filled
her Materia inventory.

My dad introduced me to old school arcades. This was way back when I still needed a stool in order to reach the controls.

He purchased the atari, NES, SNES and the N64 for us.

He still loves old arcade games (like centipede), as well as mario kart and starfox. I'm not sure if he plays them much anymore.

My Dad grew up in arcades, so I always ended up having all the latest systems growing up. He doesn't really play games much anymore though. His favorite games are the first two Fallouts. And I know he loved X-Com.

Neither are big gamers. My Dad loves Duck Hunt. Mom bought a DS and loves playing puzzle games, and plays lots of Professor Layton.

They both love playing Pokemon Pinball. My mom's top score is somewhere in the 9 million range in the blue stage.

My dad beat the first Sonic the Hedgehog. I still haven't done that.

My parents weren't able to adjust to 3d. But mom was the first person (and only) in the house to get 100% on Yoshi's Island

My parents look at video games and just get a bewildered look on their faces. I wish I had cooler parents like you guys. =V

I got my parents to play Wii Sports once.

I blame my parents for getting me into gaming.

But Zork was so much fun

My mother plays indie games and casual games, my father plays all sorts of games, though mostly WoW and Diablo clones now-a-days although he and I used to play against eachother on Starcraft and Warcraft via LAN a lot and play Guantlet together too.
