Any Way of the Samurai fans here? need help with agetec forum description.

I set up a new forum for it at the Agetec boards, but I'm clueless about what to put under it (descriptive text) as I've never played any of the games. but with the game coming out soon, there needs to be a forum for it. so right now I just have "Coming October 13, 2009" as the forum description.

sure, I could hope Agetec would do it on their own, but they are busy, and havent even managed to update their "news" section since September 2, 2008.

I've only played the 1st game on the PS2 and it's basically a choose your own adventure game where you move to a new location, watch a cinema, make a choice, watch how your choice affects the story, then move to the next area all the while killing samurai and bandits. Way of the Samurai 3 takes place during the Sengoku period so...

"Talk about your adventures as a samurai in 16th century Japan."

I guess that'll work, yeah. given that the other lines for game forums are things like "Come talk about From Software's creepy new survival horror game." and "A forum to share tips, strategies and tricks from Capital City."'

Way of the Samurai was nifty. Not the best thing ever, but props for original concept.

Yeah, I liked the original a lot. Never bothered with the second.

This looks like it could be okay, though I'm wary of the Dreamcast/PS2-era presentation. Sure looks cheap!

not initially, from what I understand. but the content from the "plus" version could be added later via DLC. I havent seen anything about the plus stuff, so that's just me speculating.

I do know that the content that was added to the japanese 360 port has been added back into the PS3 version, and both versions of the game in the US will be identical in content. the only difference in the versions will be the publisher. Agetec is publishing for PS3, UFO Interactive is publishing for the 360.

I love the series and ooze about it all the time here.

Personally I can't wait for it to come out.

The second was way better than the original in my opinion. However once you play through all the different storylines it's really about collecting and upgrading your swords and styles. Which is still really neat in a way. The combat system was also somthing that I liked a lot as well.

The second wasn't all that great compared to the original, in my opinion, so I think you did right by not touching the first.
