Didn't see an existing topic for this, and just picked it up today. Might give this a shot tonight if Demon's Souls gets frustrating enough.
So I've yet to play more than a half hour into P3 and have yet to unwrap P4. Do you think it would be a good idea as such to play this before the other two? I mean, I know they are seperate things, not a continuing storyline, and I know some (a lot) of the features/gameplay mechanisms are probably different. Wait, who am I kidding? Being in portable form, I'd be more apt to get into this on the bus as opposed to the console ones at home.
Also, unwrapped and perused the manual on the bus on the way home (PSP battery was dead, and was at home charging), and come to find that the 22 Personas (Personae?) have the exact names that the tarot cards did in the first Ogre Battle. I mean, Heirophant, Lovers, Chariot, Tower, Fool, Hermit, etc. Unless these are common in a lot of JRPGs that I was not aware of, these seems like a blatant rip from (homage to) Ogre Battle.
Any theories on this? Atlus DID release Ogre Battle 64 in America, and MAY have released Tactics Ogre here, but I forget.
