    Happy Belize Day!!

My country became a country 28 years ago on this day. Before that it was a British crown colony.

My friends and I will be partaking of rum & coke tonight in its honour. I invite all those who are able and willing to do the same.

    Now for the national anthem...

Laaaand of the freeee by the Cariiiib Seeeea
Our Manhood we pledge to thy libertyyy

...there are many more verses but the thought of "pledging my manhood" to my country is a bit terrifying and trips me up every time.

Okay! I'll have a beer and play Beatles Rockband.

It's either that or a "panty ripper" (which is coconut rum and pineapple juice).

That's the best national anthem ever. Why don't I get to pledge my manhood?
                ...and that's why.

Yah. Probably. I've never tried it because I hate pineapple juice.

Those maps must be 40-50 years old in that case.

Happy Belize Day! Can I eat a grilled cheese sandwich in honor of Belize, since I have no booze? >_>

I'd join you if I lived near you. You forgot to take your Appleton rum back with you from Yam's.

Aw crap! I left Appleton there? Wait...was that the same one I made a significant dent in that one night anyway?

Man, me and my 80% rum, 20% coke...

All I remember is playing Smash Bros. and watching Invader Zim. Oh, and Yam wanting to kick my ass for trying to snap a photo of her. Of which I promise there won't be a repeat were I to return! Lesson learned!

Also, a rum bottle from Belize broke in my suitcase so all my clothes stank of rum. That was just lovely.

                          I kinda miss Tex-ass now.

So we spent hours playing a card game called Blink and talking about possible business plans Pandora.com should pursue.

But we drank rum & cokes at least! What a way to celebrate an independence day.
