Need someone to make some images for the site.

Yeah, you know, the website. that thing you quickly click past if you accidentally leave "forum" off the URL.

I'm getting ready to do some big updates to the site again. and I would like some help, as I suck at graphic design.

all graphics need to match the "new age pavilion" theme, which is what the site itself is locked in at rpgmpavilion.com.

For visual continuity, only one person's stuff will be used for each number.

all graphics MUST be made by you, I dont want to use stolen images from some other website.

what we need:

1. Header bars for updates. these would be placed at the top of the updates, to give the front page a bit more style. There would need to be graphics for "Website Update", "Announcement", and "Community News", so three graphics in all. again, these are mostly needed for the front page. avatars on news posts would be turned off, and they'd be on the top of the news post. go to the front page and you'll see just how much these will help. size, style, font, and overall design is all up to you. just make sure all three look like they belong together.

2. Category graphics. for the nav bar on the left of the website. just small images (with text on them) to help make the site pop more, visually. needed graphics are: "Main", "RPG Maker 1" "RPG Maker 2" "RPG Maker 3", RPG Maker XP", "RPG Maker VX", "IG Maker", and "Other Features".

Ideally, the style of the above two should mix well with our logo.

3. Icons for game listings. small icons are needed for the game listings representing a PS1, a PS2, a PS3, and a PC, for the different formats things can take here.

4. We also need some that will be placed next to the title of the games: icons for games that are "New" and "Updated", and icons for games that have achieved 100 downloads, 500 downloads, and 1000(+) downloads. how you choose to make these is all up to you.

I cannot offer anything in return for helping me, other than gratitude, and the knowledge that you're helping the website with something quite important.

I like them. the format icons would have to be smaller though, as they'll be replacing the text in the game listings.

the category graphics for the nav bar would also have to be smaller, so they fit in the nav bar.

That's certainly doable, a few questions though.

-Which category graphic do you prefer? The standard cogs or the single cog with the appropriate graphic inside corresponding to each game?

-I just chose whatever text looked good("Nyala" in PS), if there's another font that goes better with the site, let me know.

version 2 looks the best to me, but 3's cog is partially obscured. maybe it could be remade with a picture of 3's box art? I dunno. likewise, we dont have cogs for the three PC makers, but if you're up to making them, that'd be awesome. enterbrain's site for each PC maker has their original boxart on each. XP, VX, and off-site art for IG Maker the width would have to be cut down on the buttons though, in order for them to fit in the navigation module.

if that's not possible, then the other style is fine.

I like the "update type" graphic for "website update" the best. in addition to the style, the brighter color will make it pop a bit more.

I like the fonts you picked just fine.

for your help, I'll try to figure out some way to show my appreciation for this. maybe throw a game at you or something? I dunno. I never expected everyone to take care of all the graphics, so I gotta do something in return, I wouldnt feel right if I didnt.

Is this size alright for the category bars?


And I'll make new cogs for each of the games, it's no problem.

As for the Update header bars, how long do you want them to be?

yup, that size will fit.

the size (color and style, too) of the one that says "website update" is fine. but I think if the text was on the right side of the graphic, like the one that says "community news", it would look better.

Ok, here's what I have so far.



If the VX and XP are too small I can re-size them, they just ending up being that size so everything would be in line.

eh, I noticed that the cog to RPG2 is darker since I used that separately from the rest, I'll make sure that's fixed.

Oh, when I send everything to you, what file extension would you like them to be in, jpg,gif, pgn

Almost forgot, any idea for what should go in the "Main" and "Other Features" cogs?
