I don't follow the pc modding community but this project caught my attention. It's a Unreal Tournament 3 mod that is in development. It looks stunning for a nonprofit game.






The game has a Miyazaki vibe with its floating islands and amazing flying contraptions.

I don't even own UT3, but I'd be willing to purchase it if this mod is as good as it looks. There's a demo available on the website, along with some video and concept art.

hmmm, is this a mod, or a standalone game using the U3 engine?

If it is a mod, i hope that it is something that will be converted for PS3 use. If it is not a mod, i may have to pick up the PC version of UT3 for $10 or so to make sure i can check this mod out.

I think it should work with the PS3 version, based on all the new maps and character models (I had samus and snake running around in it) it handled without difficulty. they really made the mod system in the PS3 version robust, and I bet they planned for massive things like this.

It's a mod, so it will be free as long as you have a copy of UT3. It lists both PS3 and PC as platforms on the website.

BTW how exactly do mods work with the PS3?

But yes absolutely gorgeous. Skies of Arcadia comes to mind.


And this is the 3rd time Skies of Arcadia came to mind today. **** i'm pretty much REQUIRED to play it now.
