    Shadow Lord

Because I don't have a dexdrive or even a way to get footage of the game I'm making on the internet, the best I can do is just share some information about it with you all.

So far, it's a game about our Hero, Howard. He is an ordinary guy living an ordinary life when he gets involved in this strange adventure with Dave, aka Shadow Lord Dave, a warrior who can turn into a demon in a tight situation.

When the game starts, Howard needs to get a bottle of milk, but before he makes it to the store, he gets stopped by an old man who gives him a dead rat. After going into town, he's stopped by Dave, who is shocked when he sees Howard with the rat, which turns out to be a very powerful artifact. This becomes apparent when the villain of the game, Bane, shows up and steals it from Howard, and amplifies his power. Dave, unable to stand up to him, transforms into Shadow Lord Dave, and manages to overpower Bane, but not for long when his transformation starts to weaken him. After which, Bane teleports them to a distant land as a last ditch effort to keep them away long enough for him to unlock his full power.

After that, the true game starts and I haven't really done much more than that yet.

The story isn't as cliche and dull as the "cliffnote" version of the prologue makes it out to be. I promise it gets better.

The only problem I'm having now is advancing the plot. I only planned out so much before starting to make it, and the point I'm at now is pretty much being made up as I go along. The first "quest" I'm making for the characters is more for character development than plot, so I'm hoping finishing that will help guide me along to actually making some headway on the story.

Like I said, I just wanted to share this with you guys, because as of now, it's the only information on my game that I can give. Comments, criticisms, and what not are welcome.

I dunno, I think the part about how a rat is an artifact is kinda original.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

I'd say it's a total manfest right now. You should add in at least one girl character to balance it out. I like the idea of quests for character development, though!

If you haven't already, you should plan out the ending, just so you know where your story is headed towards (unless you like winging it, that is )
        Currently playing-
Seiken Densetsu 3, Brain Lord, Terranigma (all SNES)

I agree with the manfest, and I do plan to add a few female characters in there, including one in your party.

Currently I have ideas for certain areas of the plot, but I'm trying to figure out how to work those in. After the quest that I'm doing is over, I'll move on to the main plot details and go from there I think.

You have no idea how overused that statement is.

              Well I'm sure, but it's true :P

I know a lot of the things I'm doing right now are cliched, but I'm hoping that by the time I finish this game, I'll be able to brainstorm ideas and I'll be able to make the next one a lot more original.
