I got through a few episodes of the British The Office, but it's often so painfully awkward that I can't bear to watch it. Which is what they appear to be going for, so I guess in that sense they do a good job...?
I regularly watch British shows since they make me feel somewhat more at home, and the latest one I've been hooked on is QI. It's fantastic, enlightening, and hilarious.
I think the British Office is potentially the most charming television program of all time. Sure, the American version might have surpassed it in overall likability and scope but the original was just such a nice little (perfect?) show.
Extras, I watched one disc of and it seemed like "Ricky Gervais hobnobs with actors and some homely woman tries to get a date hyuk hyuk"
