Here's two of my pieces of art that I made earlier this spring.



I took the Picasso Guitar Player and redid it with magazine and picture clippings of certain parts.

IE, the legs were made completely out of leg clippings, the guitar out of guitar pictures, etc, etc.



A typical sunflower that I painted in art class. I was one of a handfull to turn in this assignment yet I got a 70 on it because I cut it down below the typical size!

I'd appreciate your comments.

An interesting take on a great piece of art. Not bad. Collage can be tough, but it looks like you made it work.

As for the other picture, I enjoy the simple, effective design.

Right now I'm keeping my eyes open for another subject to collage on my own. That and I need a few more magazines

I had this whole huge thing typed up about art and writing in the Imaginari, but I accidentally hit the Back button!

So I will say this instead: I like the collage. It's constructed quite boldly and looks great. I'd love to see how you do on an original mosaic or collage.

The post was all about how writing has become the new Pav creativity trend, and how art was obviously sitting on the sidelines waiting for an injury.

It used to be the other way around, though. About 17 out of 20 topics were picture topics in the olden-days.

I actually favor more the writing surplus, as you favor the art surplus, but I would be extremely content to have a nice harmonic union between the two with neither one in short supply.

I also cracked a joke. I present to you now the hilarity that was previously deprived your art-craven eyes:

At first I thought it a bit too harsh, but I think you know how to handle a joke, no matter how pathetic the joke may be (as this one certainly was).

Thank you everyone. I'm gearing up for another collage. I'm going to lay it out once I return from McAllen for the 4th of July weekend.
