Mainly because I believed that he would only show up for Nirvana songs.

For those who don't know, Kurt was never one to want to be a "rock god". He didn't run around as a marketing spokesman promoting a soda. He just wanted to play his music.

But this video just makes me want to cry for the man. Having him running around singing flavor flav songs? bon jovi? Dancing around like a doofus?

I never got into the whole Nirvana/Kurt Cobain thing. I just wish they'd stop playing their songs on the radio. It's been fifteen years of the same ****ing song everyday. I'm not saying no more Nirvana ever but put a moritorium on it for a few years and let it get fresh again.

Of course not. We could play What Would Cobain Think all day, but if he really just wanted to make music, he'd think your crying over his image in a video game laughable. He'd think Guitar Hero would be laughable. He came, he gave us music, and then he left us. The mainstream's perversion of his character is only to be expected. You're supposed to laugh it off.

That's what I did. That video is cheesy as hell.

Universal Music Group, the people who own most of the band's music.

If all you want to do is "make music" you'd play locally or start up your own label and distribute your songs personally. Once you sign on to a label you're owned by someone else and can't complain when they sell you.

Reminds me of a good Tool song called Hooker With A Penis where some kid wearing mainstream name brand clothing blames Maynard for selling out and he basically tells him "If I'm a sellout you're a sellout for buying it. Everything in the world is a product and everyone that buys it is supporting selling out."

Argh, now I wish I'd uploaded that vid of me smashing the **** out of a guitar hero guitar.

Guitar hero games suck, so I'm not really shocked by this. I got GH1&2 as gifts and never got into it. I still have the games, if anyone wants them.
