It looks pretty fantastic, but I agree with Den. That trailer was just obnoxiously long and too detailed.

I think it looks more like one of those HBO multicultural fairy tale cartoons than an actual feature film. Pretty disappointing, really.

It does kind of have a rubbery, cartoony quality, but I still would like to see it!

It's a good movie that's beautifully animated for an "art house" production. Everyone I know who's seen it was disappointed by the end but the movie is based on the Book of Kells which is a celtic transcription of the four gospels so there's a bit of religious iconography but it's not preachy or trying to send out an overt message. The Book of Kells was basically written to remove all the nasty fire and brimstone apocryphal writings in the traditional Latin bible and it was a lavishly illustrated book. This movie is very pretty and uplifting.

My biggest complaint is the voice acting. Maybe I'm unused to Irish actors but UGGGH everyone sounded so annoying.
