They are misled. The Americans who are anti health-insurance reform have been fed lies, that they are ready and willing to accept. The Republican party is absolutely outstanding in their ability to convince middle-class Americans to vote against their interests.

I'm not usually a proponent of violence, but the woman in this video needs to be slapped in the face. I was hoping somebody would.

But you can't be too mad at the ignorant. The misguided. They know not what they do. We have to forgive them. They make it very hard to do so.


The American public needs civil discourse. Some rational debate. Some critical thinking. When you have a base of rabid, fearful citizens, they make it very difficult on everyone to get work done.



The current political atmosphere surrounding the current Health Insurance Reform bill has me sick to my stomach and mad as hell. The Republican Party and Big Insurance feeds the public lies. Fear is a major influence on these types of people. Deep down they are very afraid. They're afraid of change, the unknown, the other. When Mr. Black President wants to get work done and fix our Health Insurance System, the lies and hatred meet and create these monsters.



I want to highlight the fact that the current house bill is straight-up Health Insurance Reform. Not Health Care Reform. This very simple fact makes way for the lies that include Death Panels, Mandatory Abortions, and Forced Health Plans. I feel very sorry for the misled, yet unbelievably angry at their actions and the effect they have on the national discussion. Sickening.

I was listening to The Young Turks earlier, which is very out of character for me.

It's funny when Republican leaders and pundits are talking about all of the horrible, awful things that will come with health care reform, talking about death panels and all.

Meanwhile, instead of calling these dicks out on their ridiculous accusations, Democratic leaders are just like,

"Noooo we don't want to hurt you, please believe us "

Look. I've only been alive for 22 years, and I'm already bored of the way things are. Maybe it's because I grew up with a generation of people who were able to listen to music on shuffle whenver they wanted.

But I say change is always good. We can't know what something is going to be like until we try it for ourselves.

I don't think that people who don't want reform are bad. I just think that they're boring.

I mean, i'm under the impression that the Obama plan doesnt take away private insurance, it just gives people an affordable alternative so that everyone can have healthcare.

If you want to keep your private insurance, keep it. If you dont have health insurance, how you will have an option?

I dont get why people are against this? I mean i know its not quite THAT simple, but it is stupid how Republicans and the right wing feed lies to people like pasta, it goes on forever unless someone decides to break the link.
