I bought the first two games, and really loving it.

Didn't realize how good the story is. The characters are very fleshed out and with deep backgrounds.

The fighting system is clunky and can result in cheap hits. But nothing is more enjoyable then beating someone with a hotel sign.

Running around can be tiresome since taxi service is far away from where you really need to go.

The game has a Shenmue feel, but lacking the little things you could do. But there is still a lot of stuff you can do.

I am about finish with the first game and can't wait to go to the third. I just hope they release the 3rd game over here.

I have 1 and 2 as well and agree that this has a very Shenmue
like feel to it. Finished 1, but not 2, yet.

The Dub in 1 isn't too bad, but has too much cursing.

I hope they bring both the spin off that takes place back
in feudal japan as well as the third game.

Anyone who liked Shenmue should really look into this game.

I played the japanese demo of part 3. Seems pretty interesting.

Not liking the huge amount of voiceless text, though, in between normal cutscenes.

I played like half an hour of Yakuza 1 and never put it back in my PS3.

Considering you don't like good games....


I just finished the game yesterday and wow, it was good. Played out like an action movie with guns, bombs and people getting beat up.

I will wait a bit on playing the second game. Took me 17 hours to beat the first one, and I only got two host girls up to max level and did the occasional gambling.

Not long, but still pretty good. I hope in the later ones they fix the fighting and shorten the load times.
