    Is it possible...

...for something to be so rare that an hour of searching the internet turned up no results for its value?

I recently acquired a CD from a thrift store for $1 by a band called The Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus. The CD is entitled Mirror, and not only could I not find what it's ostensibly "worth," but only one website in an hour of searching even showed its cover.

The vinyl version of the prior album is going for 160 Euro, and a reissue of that album and the one I own as a 2 CD set is going for between 55 dollars to 90 euro. Not like I'm planning on hocking it on ebay, but it's nice to have a relative "value" when you come across something rare.

This post answers its own question.

      It does actually, yes.

I'm waiting for this topic to get resurrected a year and a half from now by Aznabel/Pandable.

No, no. A reissue of the first two albums as a 2 CD set is the price I was quoting above. I have in my possession the original release of their second album. Something tells me this was probably a very small press run that never got reissued in its original (quite impressive, actually) packaging.

As for the album itself, I'm on my second listen, and I've got to say that it's one of the best albums I've listened to in the past few years.

It's kinda experimental atmospheric dark semi-goth (as a touchstone, really...it's not goth in the slightest bit) with medievalesque chanting, martial drumbeats, industrial noise, soulful jazz, and snippets from shortwave radio.

If I had to compare this to anything, it would be Dead Can Dance meets Main meets Ennio Morricone meets Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

            Or some random noob.

My guess is that's it's one of those things that when you do a search for it, you gets tons and tons of unrelated crap because some of the words you use for the search are common or something. Or something like that. Sometimes, trying to find information about something on the net can be like searching for a needle in a haystack.
