    Seattle

So, uh, I'm apparently trading art for plane tickets to Seattle, where I'll be staying with my friend in her giant house.

I'm really excited, because this is my first vacation in years. Also, I've never been to the northwest part of the US. I've heard it's really beautiful.

So, peeps, what is there to do in Seattle? What do you suggest that I experience or see?

I'll be going sometime around the end of September.

When I went to Seattle I mostly bummed around like I usually do, just in another town. Checked out Pike Place Market, hung out downtown. Ate clam chowder by the bay. Got frustrated at their bus systems (pay as you get off? but only at certain times of the day?). Read the local papers.

I didn't do much touristy stuff, like ascend the Space Needle, but it sounds like fun.

Pacific Northwest represent. Breathe in the cool air, say hi to some trees.

Triple digits? How do people function in that temp?

We've had triple digit temps almost every day this month. You just endure it. I'm used to the heat; the humidity is what drags me down.

The weather here has changed a lot over the past 10-20 years. It wasn't always this bad for this long.

                  Re: Seattle

Seattles a pretty average city, and is overcrowded with traffic jams during most hours of the day.

Head up north just a bit further and come to BC. Its much nicer here.
