Anyone else having problems with their...

rechargable battery for the 360 controller? I have the one that you plug the controller to the 360 to charge, but for some reason, even if it is charged, it will occasionally turn off like it was out of juice.

I can't imagine it has gone bad already. It hasn't been that long since I had it. 7 months at most.

I had the play and charge kit since I was tired of charging my other batteries that don't seem to last very long (I also use them for the wiimote). But something got loose in the cable, and it just stopped charging my controller.

I want M$ to make a wireless controller with it's own internal battery using a regular usb cable like how the PS3 does. PS3 controller lasts longer than my batteries.

You guys should do like me and get rechargeable batteries, four of them. You can always be charging two while you use the other two for your controller.
Because Microsoft's official hardwares seem to not work a lot of the time...

          Gloom, I found this
At first, or after storage for a long period of time, it can take from three to five full charge cycles for the battery pack to achieve its full capacity.
at http://support.xbox.com/support/en/u...chargekit.aspx and thought this was what your problem was

Are you sure your 360 is powered on? because it needs to be on to be able to charge the controllers battery

Nah, I was only asking because I made that same mistake when I bought my Play & Charge kit for my 360
