My Ecco the Dolphin cartridge had a glitch during a key event of the game, so it literally was impossible to beat.

What was the glitch, Jeff? :o

All I remember, is that there is a point in the game where you are supposed to visit this thing that looks like floating DNA strands that sends you back in time. To initiate the event, you speak with the creature's flashing orb. In my game, there is no flashing orb, so there is no way to communicate with it. It leaves you with nothing left to do but drown once you reach it.
