I think I've heard that one of the guys is going to play FFXI for 12 hours straight after the marathon just because.

I predict they'll probably get halfway through FF8. They could probably breeze through the first 4, get slowed down on 5 + 6, and then the PSX games will slow them down a lot more.

Also, I doubt they'd could beat the time if they made it to FFX. They'd have to listen to, "this is my story.."

Without a doubt, X and XII are the longest Final Fantasy games from start to finish because the former's butt ton cutscenes can't be skipped and the latter requires constant grinding + huge ass dungeon crawling to beat without getting your ass handed to you.

Edit: He said just now that they'll be playing FFXI, but only for a specified amount of time, just to represent. It'd be interesting to watch.

Not really, you can beat the game at like level 45 without too much trouble.

I could barely beat the last boss at level 60 with all but 2 of the marks finished and the best available equipment except for the esoteric secret stuff.

Then again, I don't read strategy guides or use exploits.

I only leveled up three characters really and murdered the last bosses at fifty-ish.

I didn't find it hard at all. :V

Yeah... I leveled everyone up evenly and didn't continue until I purchased new equipment for all of them.

I only choke through terrible gameplay when there's a reward involved which is generally story related in RPGs. I played Final Fantasy XI for three days before canceling my subscription.
