    I saw Shoot'em Up today

On the movie channel visiting my parents. It was on right after Wanted. Despite being very similar movies ie.GUNS SHOOTING PEOPLE AT ALL TIMES, Wanted still sucks and Shoot'em Up was aaawwwwwwwweeesome.

I think it was all the classic rock and carrots that sealed the deal.

I just finished watching Saving Private Ryan just now.

Yeah it was on TNT, but it was convenient!

Lactating hookers and death by carrots. The ultimate recipe for a man's movie.

I fully endorse wrecking a dude's car because he doesn't use a turn signal to change lanes.

There's several reasons why Shoot 'Em Up is a superior movie.

1- Clive Owen. The guy is a good actor and can somehow take the most ridiculous concept and make it interesting to watch.

2- The movie is decidedly British despite being a Hollywood film which makes sense considering the director is British. The problem with Hollywood action movies is that it's all machismo and flair with no regards to style or directing.

3- Lower budget means more focus on directing over special effects.

4- It's not based on a terribly written Mark Millar comic. Millar, unlike his brother, uses comics as a means to pitch a script. I don't care for Frank Miller's films but at least he writes comics for the sake of writing actual comics.

I'm a fan of Clive Owen. MANY MANY years ago, on a whim, I saw Croupier in the theater. This was before Cive Owen was really anybody. I've been keeping an eye on his projects ever since.

The Wanted movie is so different from the comic book that it might as well have not been based on it at all!

Now I have to watch this movie. God knows I've wanted to do that so many times.

I didn't say I liked it, I said it was better than wanted for the above reasons.

                          I love both.

Shoot 'Em Up does all the things other action movies are too embarrassed to do.

I really liked Shoot Em Up the first time I seen it, then a few months ago I bought it and watched it again. It wasn't as good as I remembered. =\ The gag only worked once for me.

Just because marcus and Bonanza are both black does not mean you should confuse the two.
