    The Totally Rad Show

If you guys haven't seen this show before, go watch it now. These three guys review video games, movies, and sometimes TV shows, and it is AWESOME.

They have insightful reviews and great chemistry. It's really entertaining to watch. Plus, they've got the best intro ever: they remake a famous scene from a movie or TV show.

(So in reality, they only did these remake intros for the first two years of the show (about 100 episodes) and have since replaced them with something lame, which sucks, but I guess they took a lot of time. But they're worth going back and watching.)

Either way, great show. You can download the episodes or subscribe to their itunes podcast here:

So is anyone familiar with this show? Or if you decide to watch it, what are your thoughts?

I kinda wish it was a bit more entertaining, the intro and the little quips are great but the whole show is just the three of them talking to eachother. It's more of a Podcast than a show.

It IS a podcast. Anyway, I find it entertaining, but you can decide for yourself. Here's an episode:

I know they have a "download a MP3" option, but it's called the Totall Rad Show I mean, unless they can do somthing except all talk at once in some garbeled up mess, it's not very entertaining.

Even other "reviewers" have something to bring to the table. Zero Punctuation has a really fast talker with silly pictures and a script. Angry Video Game nerd has a scripted set fo cuts and sayings along with random gags like shooting lazer beams out of his eyes and beating up Bugs Bunny.

These guys just talk at you, not even at you, just at eachother for 10 minutes at a time like you would with your own friends, in a garbled up mess. Then have a silly transition.

I did however like that episode where they played the Wii and it froze thier TV. However they spent 5 minutes showing us how they fixed it working on getting it fixed instead of just editing it out to be a 1-2 minute gag.

I'm not saying it's bad, it's nice if it was a radio show and not a video show though.

Fair enough, but half the fun for me is watching the guys interact. If you're just wanting a review and are going for efficiency, yeah, I guess that zero punctuation guy would be best (although find that guy kind of annoying).

When I think about it, the main reason I like the show is that I know every episode will get some genuine laughs out of me. And none of it is through forced jokes; it's all through casual conversation. I don't think they all talk at once, and I have no problems following what they're saying. The movie and video game insights are just an added bonus as far as I'm concerned; I don't really even play video games anymore, anyway.

So Red Dragon doesn't like it, and I do. I guess your mileage may vary.
