-Labradford (Harsh not in volume or speed, but in an overwhelming sense of chilly bleakness)
-Techno Animal (Harsh in volume, with an overwhelming sense of chilly claustrophobia)

I don't know much about music, but I always thought Tom Petty was pretty mellow.
